    Correction for the better!
The "Anime Name that Tune" Championship has been rescheduled for 11pm on Friday in main events. They're stalling the dance for us, so let's make this rock!

I'm also looking at the hundreds of dollars in donations from conventions to industry, so make sure to be there!

You can check the official Katsucon posting at: http://www.katsucon.org/index.php?cat=home&sub=news#nametune

    CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
For everyone that rightly keeps an eye on these posts, be warned that:

The "Anime Name that Tune" 2004 Championships will take place at Katsucon 2005, tentatively, at 12:00pm on Sunday. Be there early, because we have a strict 2-hour time block and more contestants than EVER to weed through.

That being said, we have ten contestants on the previous page. The Anime North winner's name has somehow gone missing, though I know I have it somewhere here. Secondly, the Sugoicon name has completely disappeared, altogether, even after I took great lengths to preserve it. Anyone with any feedback or assistance in this (though I doubt it) will be much thanked.

Regardless, good luck to everyone. The same rules will be applying as last year's championship: no video game music, and single elimination.

    Good luck, minna-san!

PS 2005's schedule, thus far, includes Anime Boston, Ikasucon, Sugoicon, Nekocon, Anime USA, Anime North, CN Anime Expo, Kunicon (in St. Louis), Otakon, Anime Next, and maybe more. Anime Boston has been 100% verified, thus far. Kunicon's not long after that, so start your reservations to return to the limelight - winner or loser.

"Anime Name that Tune" Championship Confirmation
The "Anime Name that Tune" annual championship has found a home. Katsucon will be bringing this championship back in 2005. This year, we've added CN Anime Expo and Anime North (to make us more international), Cleveland Colossalcon, Sugoicon, and possibly even Otakucon from Miami. Otakon decided to do their own games this year (though we've been invited back in 2005). Shoujocon is no more. Katsucon was skipped (though maybe not for next year) because it held the championship. So, we have more conventions involved with a wider range of winners for a greater competition. Next year, we're even being asked by more conventions including Tekkoshocon in Pittsburgh, Anime Mid-Atlantic in Richmond, etc.

Well, if you happen to know the email addresses of anyone listed, do let me know.

I have their information around here somewhere, but this is an APB just in case.

Otherwise, here's the update: "Anime Name that Tune" Annual Championship at Katsucon 2005. Some details (like time slot or room or day) are still pending. Make whatever reservations today! I'm trying to ask Katsucon to extend pre-reg dates to "ANtT" winners because they procrastinated quite a bit in feedback. Some of you have asked me for info as soon as possible about this. I would suggest registering regardless, because there are no promises about my being able to extend the expiration date on pre-reg's. remember, everyone MUST have a badge in order to participate - registered or part of the convention ONLY.

Make your plans today. Every one of you have the link to this "LJ," so post away if you so wish. I will read it and everyone else may, as well.

PS Remember: if you want to cram for the championship, don't worry about video game music or live-action musicals. It's straight anime from here on out. Whether it's OP's and ED's, BGM's, or maybe image songs... only time will tell.

    It begins
I've sent info pertaining to this account to numerous friends, associates, and staff of Zephyr Game Shows. What I hope to get out of this is quicker game show updates in a more personable environment than the semi-professional website. Ideas, updates, and even gossip are quite welcome, including general convention chat.

So, first thing on the agenda is Ikasucon in Cincinnati later in July. There, we will be involved in many events. We have our "Anime Name that Tune," of course. We will also have "Zephyr's Maru/Batz" during the cosplay halftime and "Taboo-sensei." Also affiliated with us is Jinnai's "Anime Millionaire" game.

My initial convention staff is Mike Thorn and Theresa Young.

    Well guys, have at you.
